SJR DIAMOND BOGART

CD Diamond X Bearly Nuf Taz

SJR Diamond Bogart (Bogie) is our current stallion at Raffety Cattle Company Quarter Horses. We purchased him as a yearling at the Snaffle Bit Futurity Sale in 2019. Bogie was sent for reined cowhorse training as a coming two year old, competing as a 3 year old futurity and 4 year old derby horse. He is a stunning 2018 palomino with only a touch of white, with a strip and snip. He stands 15 hands. His beautiful head ties in well with his clean throatlatch and neck, sloping shoulder, short back, long hip and low set hocks. He has very balanced conformation and plenty of bone. Bogie is a pleasure to be around. Since returning from training he has easily transitioned to being a solid ranch horse. He is wonderful to head off of when doctoring cows, with his speed and rate. He has impeccable manners.

On the paternal side Bogie is by CD Diamond, earner of $153,320 NRCHA and the 2012 NRCHA Open Futurity Champion. Bogie is also a half sibling to SJR Diamond Mist (by CD Diamond), the 2018 NRCHA Open Futurity Champion. Both were shown by Cory Cushing. His offspring have not only been a presence in the cow horse world but are making a mark in the team roping world, with a waiting list of ropers wanting the CD Diamond genetics.

CD Olena (Doc O’Lena x CD Chica San Badger x Peppy San Badger) was the 1994 NCHA Futurity Open Champion and the 1995 NCHA Derby open Champion. He was NCHA Horse of the year in 1995.

Shiners Diamond Girl (Shining Spark x Zans Diamond Jackie x Zans Diamond Sun) earned $69,018. She was an NRCHA Stakes horse show Open Bridle Champion.

Shining Spark has been an Equi-Stat No. 1 sire of reined cow horse money earners and a top sire of reining horse performers. He is a leading broodmare sire for reined cow horses.

The maternal side of Bogies pedigree is full of proven genetics going back to influential legends. Bearly Nuf Taz (LTE $51,705 NCHA) was by Pepto Taz, the good son of Peptoboonsmal. Pepto Taz was the earner of $132,224 NCHA and a full brother to Sweet Lil Pepto. He was out of the great mare Sweet Lil Lena (Smart Little Lena) withLTE $124,843 and dam of 18 AQHA foals, 13 AQHA performers, 13 RGP money-earners, $803,440.

Miss N Cash earned bragging rights in the cutting pen (more than $124,000 LTE) despite his unusual breeding with the addition of the running bred stallion Dash For Cash as his sire. He went on the become a great broodmare sire.

Bogie is 6 panel N/N. His breeding carreer began in 2023 with his first foal crop arriving in 2024. We anticipate a very exciting future for our fancy ranch horse stallion and his offspring.

We have been very impressed with his foals. They are sensible athletes and ranch horses.

HICHORY'S IRISH PEP

Paddys Irish Wiskey X Hickory Ginnin Leaha

Hickorys Irish Pep was a beautiful blood bay with star, snip, and four black feet. He was a premier ranch horse and performance sire with a tremendous amount of cow and athletic ability.

We had tremendous success with this sire. He’s influenced the genetics of our program since the early 2000’s. We have retained many of Hickory Irish Pep’s daughters over the years. They make up a large percentage of our broodmare band. As riding horses they were athletic, cowy, and naturally collected, which is so important in making those big stops and turns. And they are beautiful to look at, with depth, balance, and beautiful quarter horse heads.

Hickorys Irish Pep was a son of Paddys Irish Whiskey who is a full brother to Gallo Del Cielo “Rooster” and Grays Starlight. Paddys Irish Whiskey sold at the August, 2000 John Scott sale to the legendary 6666 Ranch and his offspring are doing it all: cutting, reining, reined cowhorse, roping and versatility ranch horse.

As stated on the 6666 website, Paddys Irish Whiskey has been listed on a Leading Sire list each year since he was purchased by the Paddys Irish Whiskey Syndicate in 2000. He is an NRCHA All-Time Leading Sire, a 2016 NRCHA Top 20 Leading Sire, and an Equi-Stat All-Time Leading Reined Cow Horse Sire. His foals have earned over $1,400,000, 4,551 AQHA points, and 35 AQHA World/ Res. World Championships!
