About Us

Raffety Cattle Company is committed to breeding excellent performance horses for cutting, reining, reined cow horse, team penning, roping or ranch work. We are breeding tomorrows champions today!

We have young horses that can provide you with the opportunity to be very competitive in the performance world.


Our ranch is a family run commercial cow-calf operation, located on the Big Hole River, north of Dillon, Montana. Our horses are used first and foremost on the ranch as well as being shown in Reined Cow Horse Events. We strive to breed our horses for conformation, bone, athletic ability, natural cow sense while possessing the mind and disposition to do whatever is asked of them.

We started our breeding program with the goal of providing our ranching operation with good horses that have what it takes to be solid ranch mounts that get the job done and are a joy to ride!




Our Broodmare band carries the blood of Colonel Freckles, Peppy San Badger, Jewels Leo Bar, Doc O Dynamite, Bueno Chex, Hobby Horse, Bert, Sugar Bars, King, Doc's Remedy, Music Mount, Jet Deck, Leo, Professor's Alibi and Boon Bar.
